Rancho de las Cabras
Visit this historic site during scheduled NPS weekend openings, or just find the historic marker on Highway 97 and take your selfie there.
Trail History Information Panel 1
This information panel provides information about Rancho de las Cabras and can be found near the intersection of the trail and F street.
Beer Warehouse Trail Map Sign
This building used to be a Falstaff Brewery site along the SAAP Railway. It is now an event center and one of the major trailheads for our historic trail. The building is near the intersection of the trail and C St.
Trail History Information Panel 2
This information panel provides information about Rails to Trails projects and can be found near the Depot at the intersection of the trail and Trail St.
Trail History Information Panel 3
This information panel provides information about the use of the trail by cowboys that worked ranchos that supported the San Antonio missions. This panel can be found at the intersection of the trail and Peach St.
Trail Information Panel 4
This information panel provides information about the influence of the San Antonio River on the development of the trail. This panel can be found along the trail just past the far end of the River Bend Golf Course driving range.
River Bend Golf Course Trailhead Sign
River Bend Golf Course is at the northern end of the hikeable trail within Floresville. The trailhead sign is at the edge of the parking lot near the golf cart building.
John William Helton Nature Park
This park is situated north of Floresville along the historic route of the trail. Find any El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail sign within the park and take your selfie there!
Mission Espada
Historically, to get from Mission Espada to Rancho de las Cabras you traveled El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail, just as you did if you have completed the challenge! Find any iconic spot within the Mission grounds and take your selfie there!
